Doylestown, PA – Five Williams Family Law, P.C. attorneys have been selected to the 2024 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list, a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas. Partners Jeffrey M. Williams, Susan J. Smith, and Robert J. Salzer received the Super Lawyers recognition for their work in family law, and Salzer was also selected for criminal defense. Associates Shauna L. Quigley and David C. Hamilton were recognized as Rising Stars.
Part of Thomson Reuters, Super Lawyers is a research-driven, peer-influenced rating system of lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Notably, the Super Lawyers designation is awarded to just 5 percent of attorneys in the commonwealth. The Rising Stars list, open to attorneys aged 40 or younger or in practice less than 10 years, is awarded to just 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state.
Firm Founder and Managing Partner Jeffrey M. Williams has been listed annually as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer since 2005. He primarily handles complex high net-worth divorces, alimony/spousal and child support issues, and custody cases. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a prestigious honor reserved solely for skilled negotiators and experienced litigators in family law; there are just 1,600 fellows nationwide.
Susan J. Smith was also first named to Super Lawyers in 2005. In practice for over 30 years, she has established herself as one of the top divorce and child custody attorneys in Pennsylvania, and American Lawyer Media has recognized her as a “Woman Leader in the Law.”
Robert J. Salzer was first selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2015. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and co-author of the book Stress-Free Divorce. A former chief of the Homicide by Vehicle Unit for the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, he now accepts criminal matters for a select number of clients.
Shauna L. Quigley has been named to the Rising Star list annually since 2018. She has also been named to the “Top Attorneys” lists in Suburban Life and Philadelphia Magazines.
David C. Hamilton makes his debut on the Rising Star list in 2024. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a judicial law clerk in the State of Delaware’s Family Court.
