Lawyers Among Us-Advocates. Champions. Neighbors. – Nominations due October 30

Lawyers Among Us-Advocates. Champions. Neighbors.

On Nov. 22, the Bucks County Herald will feature a publication called Lawyers Among Us —Advocates. Champions. Neighbors which tells stories of good works carried out by the Bucks County Bar Association and its members.  The piece is the result of a partnership between the Association and the Herald to promote the many projects and programs offered by the Association and its members.  These include pro bono representation, Lawyer Referral & Information Service, legal aid initiatives, a mock trial competition, the Bucks County Bar Foundation scholarship program and programs promoting advancement of social justice.

The Herald, which is beginning its 16th year, is actively seeking nominations from our readers for outstanding lawyers who give back to our community.  Nominees who exemplify the highest standards of commitment and contribution will be recognized in the feature and honored Nov. 20 at an event sponsored by Penn Community Bank and Fred Beans Family of Dealerships, and featuring a nationally recognized speaker.

The nomination process is not a popularity contest that counts the highest number of online entries.  It is not a “Best of…” type of contest, either.  Instead, it is based on comments provided by our readers that will be judged on merit by a panel consisting of Herald staff and distinguished members of the legal community.

Do you know a lawyer who deserves recognition for his or her contribution to our community? Please take a few moments to think of a lawyer who provided a great service to you, one of your customers or clients, or a nonprofit or other community organization, and nominate him, her, or a law firm to be considered for recognition.

Here is a link to the information about the nominations:  http://www.buckscountyherald.com/lawyers-among-us.html.  Nominations will be taken through Monday, Oct. 30th at 5 p.m.

Sincerely,
