Jeffrey Brahin presented a program last month at the Greater Bucks-Mont Chamber of Commerce on “Does your Corporation Really Protect You? Piercing the Corporate Veil.” The program focused on different ways that a creditor or plaintiff can attempt to obtain a judgment against a shareholder, director or officer of a business, and what a business can do to help to protect itself. Starting April 9th, the back parking lot of the BCBA will be partially unavailable as work is being done on the patio. There will be some parking, but it will be limited. It will take approximately 2 weeks (or more) to complete the patio work, and we’ll update you when the work is finished.
Registers and Clerks: As you know, we are in support of HB1903 which will allow personal representatives to advertise the existence of an estate on the official Register of Wills website, rather than a newspaper of general circulation. The bill is schedule for a hearing on March 13, 2018. There is some confusion regarding whether this bill would affect county bar association law journals. It is not the intent of this bill, nor of the Registers of Wills and Clerks of the Orphans’ Court Association to eliminate any requirement to advertise an estate in the county law journals. The bill

She had traveled to California for a golf vacation when she suffered an insurmountable medical emergency.
