Two Partners Join Obermayer’s Real Estate Group to Continue Strategic Growth in Philadelphia and Surrounding Counties

Obermayer is pleased to announce that Edward Wild and William Benner, formerly of law firm Benner and Wild, have joined Obermayer’s Business & Finance department.

Both Wild and Benner will reside in the firm’s Doylestown office.   They will focus on real estate, land development, zoning, subdivision, and general litigation representing a diverse range of clients, including developers, property owners, telecommunications providers, automobile dealerships, national healthcare providers, management companies, and residential homeowners.

“Ed and Bill are well respected real estate attorneys, who will bring years of experience to Obermayer’s suburban real estate team.” says Suburban Real Estate Chair, Kellie McGowan, “They each have recognized and well-regarded land use practices in Bucks County and throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, adding even more depth to Obermayer’s land use group.”

Wild regularly appears before planning commissions, municipal governing bodies, and zoning hearing boards in all types of land use matters ranging from residential to commercial and industrial developments throughout the Philadelphia suburbs.  He represents clients in connection with securing amendments to zoning ordinances and handles substantive and procedural challenges to the validity of zoning ordinances and litigates land use matters through the Pennsylvania courts, including many appearances before the Commonwealth Court.  Wild has also represented clients in real estate transactions ranging from residential transactions to complex commercial transactions involving purchases or sale of commercial properties and commercial leasing transaction. Benner also regularly appears before planning commissions, municipal governing bodies, and zoning hearing boards in all types of land use matters including mixed use commercial developments, industrial parks, regional shopping centers, and auto dealerships, throughout the Philadelphia suburbs. Like Wild, he too has also represented clients in a variety of transactional real estate matters, tax assessment appeals, and eminent domain matters.

“This will be an exciting new chapter,” says Wild. “Joining Obermayer represents a wonderful opportunity for us to collaborate with leading professionals in the field and to provide exceptional legal services. I look forward to working with Obermayer’s full real estate team and deepening our footprint, both geographically and in client service, in not only Bucks and Montgomery counties, but also throughout the region.”
