Sweet Stevens to Share Insights at 2025 PAPSA Conference

As legal challenges in education grow more complex, staying informed is more critical than ever for school administrators. For more than two decades, attorneys from Sweet, Stevens, Katz & Williams LLP have provided essential legal insights at the Pennsylvania Association of Pupil Service Administrators (PAPSA) Conference, continuing a tradition that honors one of the firm’s founders.

The Paul Stevens Memorial Legal Seminar will once again serve as the conference’s concluding session, taking place on April 11, 2025, from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. during the PAPSA conference at the Inn at Leola Village in Leola, PA. The seminar remains a cornerstone of the event, consistently earning top ratings from participants for its practical guidance on emerging legal issues in special education and pupil services.

Attorneys from Sweet Stevens began the tradition as a tribute to one of the firm’s founders, Paul Stevens. Stevens had served as PAPSA’s legal advisor and conducted workshops on relevant issues up until his untimely death in 2001. PAPSA then established the Paul Stevens Memorial Law Seminar as an ongoing feature of the conference.

The seminar’s morning session will cover legal issues impacting special education, while the afternoon will focus on legal issues impacting pupil services. Four Sweet Stevens attorneys are presenting: Managing Partner Sharon W. Montanye, Partner Thomas C. Warner, Senior Associate Suzanne Pontious, and Associate Kalani E. Linnell.
