Rothkoff Law Group announces the retirement of Richard L. Newman, Esquire, following more than 20 years of dedicated service to older adults, individuals with special needs, and their families throughout the Doylestown area and Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Throughout his career, Newman has helped families navigate the legal, financial, and care-related challenges associated with aging and disability. He has been deeply committed to providing knowledgeable guidance and helping individuals and families make informed decisions during some of life’s most challenging transitions.
“Throughout my 20 years of practicing Elder Law, I feel that I have been very fortunate to work with older adults and those with special needs in and around the Doylestown area,” said Newman. “They are both very vulnerable segments of our community who need the proper guidance that will enable them and their families to have the peace of mind that they so richly deserve. I have found it personally rewarding to feel that I have been able to provide this to them. After my retirement, I hope to continue assisting older adults and the families of disabled individuals to the greatest extent that I can.”
Newman’s retirement marks a significant transition for Rothkoff Law Group, the legal community, and the many clients and families he has served throughout his career. While he will no longer work directly with clients, Newman will remain affiliated with Rothkoff Law Group in an Of Counsel role, allowing him to continue contributing his experience and perspective to the firm.
“Rich’s transition to retirement is bittersweet for the team at Rothkoff Law Group, the legal community, and all of the older adults and their loved ones whom Rich Newman has helped throughout his impressive career in elder law,” said Bryan J. Adler, Esquire, CELA, Shareholder and Senior Partner of Rothkoff Law Group. “Rich’s impact on the lives of these families, as well as on his colleagues, will not soon be forgotten. He spent his career working tirelessly for his clients and in service to a larger constituency through his work on various boards and councils, all in support of the mission of elder law attorneys: improving the lives of older adults and bringing peace of mind to them and to their loved ones.”
In addition to his client work, Newman has been an active leader in the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys (PAELA), serving as president-elect and program chair. He has also contributed his time and expertise to professional organizations, boards, and councils dedicated to advancing elder law and supporting older adults and individuals with disabilities. His continued involvement with Rothkoff Law Group will allow him to remain connected to the firm and its ongoing commitment to elder care advocacy.
