Attorney Maris J. Weiner of Williams Family Law, P.C. has been appointed a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), an honor reserved solely for skilled negotiators and experienced litigators who represent individuals in family law matters. With her selection, Weiner joins firm founder Jeffrey M. Williams and partner Robert J. Salzer in holding this prestigious designation. Williams Family Law is now one of the largest AAML firms in Pennsylvania, and the only Bucks County law firm with three AAML fellows.
Membership in the AAML is highly selective, with only about 1,600 fellows nationwide. To qualify, attorneys must have at least 10 years of experience, practice primarily in matrimonial law, and demonstrate expertise in the area of family law through activities such as publishing or teaching. The rigorous selection process includes completing extensive continuing legal education, passing two written exams and undergoing an interview by a board of experienced matrimonial practitioners. Fellows must also adhere to the highest ethical standards in family law.
Recognized as a leader in the field, Weiner has more than 25 years of experience representing clients in high-stakes family law matters throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Her practice includes complex litigation and sensitive negotiations involving high-net-worth marital estates, business valuations, executive compensation, custody and relocation disputes, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. In addition to her designation as an AAML fellow, Weiner is certified as a family law arbitrator through the AAML.
