Jeff Williams Chairs Nominating Committee for AAML Pennsylvania

Doylestown, PA – Jeffrey M. Williams, founder and managing partner of Williams Family Law, P.C., has been selected to chair the nominating committee for the 2019-20 Board of Managers of for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML)’s Pennsylvania chapter. The slate of officers will be presented at the chapter’s annual meeting, July 11-12, 2019 at the Loews Portofino Bay in Orlando, Fla.

The AAML was founded in Chicago in 1962 to “provide leadership that promotes the highest degree of professionalism and excellence in the practice of family law,” according to the organization. Members collaborate with lawyers, legislators, judges, agencies, and professionals to improve the standards and processes of resolving conflicts involving child support, divorce, custody, and juvenile matters. Membership in AAML requires significant experience in family law practice and is a highly selective process.

Williams is immediate past president of the AAML PA. He concentrates his practice on domestic relations, primarily handling complex divorces, high-income alimony/spousal support, complex child support, and high-conflict child custody cases. As the legal representative for a non-birth mother, Williams successfully litigated one of the first significant same-sex child custody cases in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. While serving as the Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section, Williams played an instrumental role in a 10-year-long effort to improve and implement new child custody laws in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers, whose membership is limited to 100 attorneys nationally.
