Gina Rubel Presents ‘Social Media: Ethics, Errors and Establishing Guidelines’ for Government Finance Officers of Pennsylvania (GFOA-PA)
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (March 2018) – Furia Rubel Communications, Inc. President and CEO, Gina Rubel, will present “Social Media: Ethics, Errors and Establishing Guidelines” for Pennsylvania government finance officers at their annual meeting on April 25 in State College at the Penn Stater Conference Center.
During the program, Rubel, a marketing and crisis management expert and attorney, will discuss ways that Pennsylvania government finance officers can embrace social media to implement ethical and effective social media tactics.
“Municipalities of all sizes are using social media for community outreach, content marketing, reputation management, and crisis communications,” said Rubel. “Social media offers cost-effective, efficient and effective ways to engage and inform the public on a myriad of topics. An effective social media presence with relevant and regular content can help boost resident loyalty and engagement for government entities, but it is imperative to establish social media guidelines and to train employees, elected officials and volunteers on properly using social media.”
